I recommend it, but it’s really hard to get a job when you’re not in the current location from my personal experience - but if you have a few friends you can stay with in Hawaii or you can afford staying at a cheap hotel, then you can do job searching on site. Save, save, save your money , Hawaii is expensive as far as rent and food, so if you’re planning to come here before finding a job, then its absolutely necessary to come with a couple thousand dollars.. good luck!! hawaii is wonderful! i would move back if i could!

sorry for the late reply ~ i guess study your favorite models, look at gyaru street snaps and read lots of japanese gyaru magazines ~ find something that suits your style, and basically have fun with it! ;D
oh wow really, that’s a long time ago ! :) thanks!
i cant choose one, but i lean toward the cool colors palette. i love deep pinks and purples, black and white
continued from part 1 .. in all honesty, i dont really pay attention to the hate in the community - meaning i dont respond or react to it - dont comment on it or anything. im aware of it but i just dont want to get involved because i like to just concentrate on the good stuff, and myself and improving my gyaru style everyday. i think if you put yourself out there on the internet, you’re at risk for getting attacked anyway - i say, just do your best and only think about the positive, only you and you alone know yourself, and there’s always room for improving if you get critiqued or criticized on. just have fun ~ dont sweat the small stuff
This is a hard question. I did post on everyday gyaru a long time ago (my first post was laughable , oh god) but nothing really extraordinary happened from there. I think joining Diamond was very awesome because it did introduce me to older generation gyaru who have been practicing it for a long time, and through there I met people. Also, I think mainly just maintaining your profiles and pages through various social networks like myspace although myspace is dead now, livejournal - also dead except maybe the communities, facebook, blogspot, tumblr, (I mean obviously technology plays an important part in all of this) There’s no really magical secret - its just communication overall - just connections and getting to know people who are also into gyaru style like you. as far as your other questions, i’ll answer that in part 2
the internet is a wonderful thing - It was a mixture of having livejournal (i started one in like 2004?), being inspired by people who posted on Fruits community, decora community, and then leading to the point of finding the ganguro community (mind you this is all on lj) . finding about then ganguro and gyaru forum ricoche, and the manga Supergals. i first discovered Egg magazine back when Kaoru Watanabe was still in it, although she wasnt the typical gal - i simply loved her colorful haady style - thru that magazine and her i was able to find out more about the gal culture, then get influenced by other styles (i really liked hime back then) as i studied more and learned about more magazines ..i think i started loving it a lot to the point of obsession when i finally moved to California and was asked to join Diamond, i was highly influenced by Val and Michi who helped me and inspired me so much in the Western gal community. Anyway, i love it because it’s fun and girly, and its not boring. I’m rambling on now so I think I’ll end it here.
not really sure, actually to be honest i dont really notice a lot of mean people, maybe occasional hate here on formspring .. but it doesnt really matter to me - i think when you put yourself out there on the internet it’s bound to happen that someone will disagree with you - anyway, i try to look at the positive side i meet all these great people online who share my same interests such as gyaru and art .. that’s what matters most
I haven’t tried bb cream mysel although some of my friends have, I’m an nc40 in Mac too and I use studiofix all the time, Im not sure if they have a darker shade for bb cream- I’d like to know too
Wedges with long knee high socks are also good, and u can also wear sheer stockings or solid colored tights too
thanks! the most nicest thing ive heard on formspring lately! i appreciate the comment!
im not a lesbian. i have a bf, and im sorry - im only attracted to men. i dont know where you came up with that. if this is your sneaky way to find out if im really a lesbian, well - you got your answer…
so many assumptions on formspring today
hm what made you think that? do you know me personally? you only see me on the internet? id like to know why you think this way?
maybe when i get a better camera.. i hate my camera now.. it sucks
i really want that to happen.. im hoping to plan one one day. i just been so busy with work.. and school is coming up soon.. but i really would like to meet up with gals here in san francisco..
i dont think it would be frowned upon, actually im looking forward to the day that it does happen. i m sure a lot of western gals would appreciate it ~ the western gal culture is spreading everyday, and we’re getting more recognition in japan ~ just heard tokyo kawaii tv filmed a segment of western gyaru in shibuya during their “gyaru me2” hosted by sara mari and a few other gals!
I keep seeing beautiful pictures of our state on tumblr.
Us Hawaii kids always say “It’s so boring here already. I wanna get off this rock”.
Then the moment we do for a vacation or for school, Hawaii is back in our hearts.
“I miss the food. I miss my family. I miss the Aloha spirit”.
We’re a…
